Easy Yoga Pose 1: Cat Pose
To do this easy yoga pose, the Cat Pose, get on the floor on hands and knees. Take a deep breathe and round your back up toward the ceiling. Your head should tuck down into your chest as you round up. You should feel a light stretch down the middle and sides of your back. Slowly lower your back down and bring your head back up to start position.
Easy Yoga Pose 2: Downward Dog Pose
Here’s how to do the Downward Dog Pose: Still on hands and knees, you are essentially going to perform the opposite movements as you did in cat pose. Push your tailbone and rear end up toward the ceiling, dropping your belly down and stretching your head and shoulders up. This will create an arch across your back where you are pointing up with your shoulders and rear while stretching the mid-section down.
Easy Yoga Pose 3: Child’s Pose
If you learn no other yoga position for beginners, the Child’s Pose is one you absolutely must know. It is the most basic yoga pose you could possibly tackle and it is more for taking a deep breath of rest between vigorous or difficult sequences.
How to do the Child’s Pose in Yoga: From your hand and knees position, simply sit back into your legs, rear end pushing over your legs. Let your arms trail out over your head along the floor, with your eyes closed and face down to the floor.
