I am a huge fan of pork chops – it’s one of the few fresh meats I can still get for CHEAP. Plus – they’re darn good, too!
Best of all, there are a TON of ways to make pork chops!
Now, I’m not all about fancy-dancy complicated recipes – I like EASY recipes with limited ingredients I can dump in my crockpot or in a casserole dish and have a delicious meal for my family.
My husband, on the other hand, LIKES some fancy-dancy recipes to cook on “his” grill so I’ll share his favorite grilled pork chops recipe first and then we’ll get into the recipes that *I* make for dinner.
– Bourbon Butter Pork Chops
Get some nice thick pork chops and season them with pepper, salt, garlic and onion powder.
Then seared the pork chops on the grill or in your Big Green Egg at about 450 turning every couple of minutes to get the pretty grill lines.
Mix up some honey, butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, with a splash of bourbon and then reduce it down a bit. (amounts to your taste of each ingredient)
Then coat all over the pork chops during their last minute on the grill.
Take the pork chops off the grill when they reach about 135 degrees, add another coast of your bourbon mix and pop under the broiler for a few minutes.
Can you make these pork chops in the oven?
Probably, but we haven’t tried it.
My hubby is the GRILL master – NOT the oven master haha!
If anyone tries these pork chops in the oven or stovetop, let me know how they turn out.

recipe:
– 5-Ingredient Crockpot Pork Chops and Stuffing
There are lots of variations of this recipe floating around, but they all involve “chopping” or “dicing” or some other step that is absolutely NOT necessary.
Here’s how I make it…
All ya need is:
Pork chops
Cream of Mushroom (or cream of chicken)
Sour Cream
Water
and a box of Stove Top Stuffing.
Layer your pork chops on the bottom of your crock.
Pour the dry stuffing mix on top.
Then, mix the soup, 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of water together – and pour that mixture on top.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
That’s it – and it’s a really good comfort food dish that just hits the spot on cold nights.
